Gainsborough hotel Travelodge reopens for guests.

6 May 2021

Gainsborough Travelodge has now reopened, welcoming the safe return of guests for overnight stays.

As the market town of Gainsborough continues its steady path to a full reopening following the third national lockdown, hotel chain Travelodge has confirmed the town’s 56 room hotel is to reopen.

The hotel first opened its doors in November 2018 only to be forced to temporarily close under Government guidelines at the beginning of 2021.

Following the recent relaxing of restrictions of non-essential retail on April 12th, guests can once again enjoy an overnight stay in adherence with social distancing measures to ensure a safe, comfortable visit.

Travelodge can be found on North Street next to The Forge restaurant and can be easily accessed from the Roseways Car Park. As well as being located just a minute’s walk from retail plaza Marshall’s Yard, the hotel is also in close proximity to Gainsborough town centre, bus routes and Gainsborough Central Railway Station.

Travelodge forms part of the North Street regeneration headed by Dransfield Properties, working in partnership with West Lindsey District Council, the authority which has supported the development through grant funding.

Charlotte Toplass, Tenant Liaison Executive at Marshall’s Yard, said: “Travelodge is a fantastic asset to Gainsborough, and it is great to see them reopen their doors to guests.

“As life slowly returns to normal, we are delighted to welcome guests to Gainsborough for business or leisure. We’d also like to welcome back all staff and look forward to the reopening of adjoining restaurant The Forge – situated on the ground floor of the development- later in the month.”
