Gainsborough hair salon plans expansion at Marshall’s Yard

The popular Gainsborough hair salon Stringers has announced exciting new plans to be a cut above the rest with a move to a brand new first floor salon at Marshall’s Yard.
Stringers, which also has a sister salon in Lincoln, has been based at Marshall’s Yard since the centre opened in 2007.
Now the company is on the move from its ground floor unit next to Stanley Hunt Jewellers to a new salon just above its current premises – giving the salon more space to expand its growing business.
The new salon will be 1,200 sq. ft. – much larger than the existing 860 sq. ft. premises where the eight strong team cut, trim, colour and crimp as well as selling a great range of hair care products.
Work on transforming the former first floor office into a fantastic new hair and beauty salon is currently underway with plans for an opening in mid-May.
The new salon with be launched with a fresh new logo and look and a fantastic new entrance feature.
Salon owner Steve Stringer, who launched the business 17 years ago, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to grow and expand; it gives us potential for more space for products and to have two more chairs for our stylists.
"t also gives us the opportunity to look at offering more beauty treatments. We’re really excited about the move and hope our clients will be impressed when they see the new salon.”
The move will create an opportunity for a new restaurant or retail business to open up at the Yard in the former salon unit.
Centre manager at Marshall’s Yard Alison Hall, said: “The plans for the new Stringers hair salon look fantastic and we can’t wait to see it completed when all the work is finished later in the month.
"Stringers have been a big part of the Yard since we opened in 2007 and it’s great to see the business expanding and growing.
"The move creates an opportunity for an additional restaurant or store at The Yard and we’re hoping to make an announcement very soon.”
