Gainsborough monthly Farmers’ & Craft Market take places this Saturday 13th March from 9am – 3pm, offering a great line up of essential traders.

A range of delicious fresh produce will be on offer including fresh cuts of meat and fish, freshly baked bread, seasonal plants and herbs, plus tasty sweet treats.

As we brush off the cobwebs and step into spring, the outdoor market in Market Place welcomes returning trader Giddy Kippers Plants, selling a wide range of beautiful plants and shrubs for your garden.

Also joining the offer is fishmonger Patrick Capps with a variety of mouth-watering fresh fish, Redhill Farm selling free range pork joints, pork pies and haslet, sausages, dry cured bacon, plus a range of speciality products.

Other traders joining the line-up includes artisan baker Mount Pleasant Windmill, Sarah’s Sweet Treats with a range of freshly baked goods and Hepy’s Hog Roast offering tasty bacon and pulled pork sandwiches.

Since its reopening in June 2020, the market moved from its original location on Market Street to Market Place.

The market is organised with all safety measures in place ensuring all stallholders adhere to Covid-19 guidelines, including socially distanced stalls and hand sanitiser available.

The monthly Farmers’ market is held on the second Saturday of every month and is part of a joint initiative coordinated by Marshall’s Yard with West Lindsey District Council.

Charlotte Toplass, Marshall’s Yard Tenant Liaison Executive, said: “Gainsborough’s Farmers’ & Craft Market will be open to essential traders, providing shoppers with safe access to locally sourced, freshly prepared produce.

“With spring on the way, we are pleased the market is able to operate under the latest safety measures and look forward to welcoming all traders and shoppers.”
