Crowds and Christmas cheer at Marshall’s Yard Festive Fayre

2 December 2025

Marshall’s Yard was glowing with Christmas spirit at the weekend as the annual Festive Fayre—proudly sponsored by Gleeson Homes—brought together families, visitors, and local traders for two days of festive fun.

Despite rain showers on Saturday, crowds turned out in great numbers, and with sunshine returning on Sunday, the centre welcomed an even larger number of visitors, all eager to enjoy the start of the festive season.

Over 20 artisan traders filled the centre with unique Christmas gifts and seasonal treats, while traditional brass bands and children’s activities ensured a magical experience for all ages.

Free face painting, festive crafting, and the ever-popular Santa’s Grotto made the weekend especially memorable for families, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event.

Melissa Clement, Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with how the Festive Fayre went this year. Even the rain on Saturday didn’t dampen the Christmas spirit, and Sunday’s sunshine brought even more visitors to enjoy the festivities. We are thrilled to have raised funds for the Dransfield Foundation and are so grateful to our traders, performers, and the community for making the weekend such a success. A special thank you to Gleeson Homes for their continued support and sponsorship.”

Daisy Flint, Head of Sales at Gleeson Homes, added: “It’s lovely to see so many families and local residents come together to enjoy such a great festive event. We’re proud that our partnership helps support such a lovely festive weekend at Marshall's Yard.”

The team at Marshall’s Yard have organised a packed programme of events through December.
