Artistic youngster quick on the draw for mother’s day makeover prize!

8 March 2016

Youngsters across the region were asked to put their artistic talents to the test and draw their Mum for a special Mother’s Day Competition organised by the team at Marshall’s Yard.

All of the entries were displayed on the big screen television at the Yard over the Mother’s Day weekend, and the judges picked out the drawing from five year old Alissa Schofield as their favourite – winning a fantastic makeover prize for her Mum.

Alissa’s Mum, Natasha Urwin, has been given a fantastic hamper of prizes including an exclusive consultation by local fashion guru and style consultant Hayley Eleanor in a special two hour consultation.

Hayley will pick three outfits for the Natasha to try; one causal, one evening wear and one for work.

As well as being given the choice of one of the three outfits to keep the lucky Mum has also been given a pamper hamper of prizes including a free gym membership, flowers from The Florist, a Joules scarf from Chic, a cosmetics hamper from Browns and The Body Shop, a Dermalogica facial from Bella Fiore and vouchers from Laura Ashley.

Alissa also won a special prize from Sweet Traditions and The Works for her brilliant drawing of her Mum.

Assistant Centre Manager Annabel Plumtree, said: “It was great seeing all of the drawings up on the TV screen in the Yard, and we hope that all the Mums and the young artists enjoyed seeing them. We had a fantastic response with well over 100 entries. ”

"We can’t wait to hear more about the style consultation, and see which outfits Hayley Eleanor will select with our winning mum, Natasha.’

Natasha Urwin, Winning Mum said “Wow, I am so shocked and thrilled to have received such a special treat this Mother’s Day.”
