Your Style, MY Style - Marshall’s Yard launches Spring/Summer Fashion Week!

15 February 2020

Marshall’s Yard is gearing up for their Spring/Summer Fashion Week, which is due to take place from Thursday, March 12 to Thursday, March 19.

The Gainsborough shopping centre has an impressive line up of fashion-themed activities planned, including a Style Event and live window displays, culminating in the ‘Your Style, MY Style’ Fashion Show.

Coordinated in conjunction with The Fashion Exchange, Fashion Week kicks off with the Style Event on Thursday, March 12. Held at Cream in Marshall’s Yard from 5pm until 8pm, shoppers will get the chance to see what is available at the centre and how to coordinate outfits to suit their style and current trends. Experienced stylists and fashionistas will be on hand to offer advice on how to put outfits together on any budget, plus answer any burning style questions.

Marshall’s Yard then brings you a live fashion experience on Saturday, March 14, when shop window displays will be brought to life with live fashion ‘mannequins’ wearing the latest must- have buys.

The event builds up to the ‘Your Style, MY Style’ Charity Fashion Show - showcasing the latest spring/summer fashion hot off the catwalk!

Held on Thursday, March 19 at Gainsborough’s newest restaurant The Forge, the show features the freshest seasonal looks from brands including Phase Eight, Whistles, Ted Baker and more all available at Browns department store plus more from FatFace, Vision Express, Specsavers, Next, Laura Ashley and New Look!

The latest looks for hair and makeup will also be on show as the teams on the Inglot and Estee Lauder counters at Browns ensure the models have a gorgeous glow and stylists from Sophie Amelia Hair ensure the look is complete by doing hair.

For the ticket price of just £10 guests can enjoy a fashion-themed cocktail and canapes as they check out the looks and accessories on the catwalk - there’s also a free goody bag full of vouchers and samples.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Marshall’s Yard chosen charities HATS and Help Me! I’m Fine.

HATS provide support with practical advice and accommodation for young and vulnerable adults in Gainsborough and surrounding areas.

Help Me, I’m fine is a local charity that raises awareness of mental health issues in children and teenagers and provides support through schools and community groups.

Also running during the week is the search to find the Face of Marshall’s Yard. The team is looking for a trendsetter aged 18+ who is confident, loves fashion and is proud of their own style. As well as receiving a host of prizes, the winner will be selected as an ambassador for Marshall’s Yard for 2020.  Shortlisted finalists will model in the Fashion Show before the winner is revealed.
