New traders announced for May Farmers' and Craft Market

4 May 2019

The Farmers’ and Craft Market returns to its new location on Market Street in Gainsborough this Saturday (11th May) with a full line up of traders.

New traders joining the market this week include Tooth and Tail who sell hypoallergenic dog food and handmade accessories as well as Capp 7 Sons selling fresh fish and hot drinks from Coffee Galore.

The market will also welcome back Special Edition Chocolate with their delicious range of homemade chocolate treats.

Regular traders including Redhill Farm, Ellis Fruit and Veg, Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese and Pickles Preserves. Craft stalls include Good with Wood, Little Cottage Candle Co and Made in Lincolnshire.

There will also be live music from the talented Lewis Canner with some acoustic tunes to set the atmosphere.

The relocation of the Farmers’ Market is part of a joint initiative coordinated by Marshall’s Yard with West Lindsey District Council.

In June the markets will be further supported by a fantastic three-day Food and Garden Festival across the town. The event will feature tasty treats from around the globe and live cookery demonstrations from celebrity chef’s such as Jean Christophe Novelli and CBeebies Katie Ashworth as well as some of Gainsborough’s local chefs.

Cara Thornhill, Assistant Centre Manager of Marshall’s Yard and part of the team coordinating the markets said: “The April market was a great success and we’re very pleased to announce another fully booked market for May.  The new location is working well in terms of drawing people to this area and linking Marshall’s Yard with the town centre.

“We hope that residents and visitors to the town will continue to support the local market and this encourages further traders to give the weekly market a try this summer.”
