New Car Parking System launches at Marshalls Yard

8 October 2020

*PLEASE REFER TO THIS VERSION*

Marshalls Yard in Gainsborough will launch a new car parking system on Tuesday 13th October which will accept Cash and contactless card payments on site, plus the addition of payments made via the Phone & Pay app.

The 330 space car park will be managed by Creative Parking Ltd using an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.

Customers will need to enter their full registration number into the new pay and display machines when they pay to park at the centre. The pay and display machines are located by M&S, Timpson’s, The Works and Snap Fitness (formerly DW Fitness).

The new parking system will allow the Marshalls Yard team to free up their time to focus on ensuring the centre is as safe and welcoming as possible.

The parking tariff will remain unaffected at Marshalls Yard costing just 50p for two hours parking and £1 to stay for four hours. All day parking for just £1 is available behind the centre on Station Approach on Saturdays and Sundays.

Shoppers at the M&S store on the centre can also get 50p of their parking cost refunded when spending a minimum of £10 in store.

Parking terms and conditions at Marshalls Yard apply every day to vehicles arriving between 8:30am – 5pm, with a maximum stay of 4 hours and no return within 1 hour.

Marshalls Yard Centre Manager Alison Shipperbottom said: “We have listened to customer feedback and we are delighted to be able to introduce contactless payments for car parking here at Marshalls Yard.

“We are confident these small changes to our parking system will work well for our visitors and we will have an increased staff presence around the pay and display machines initially to help with any queries”.

Ample signage will be visible from the 6th October at the entrance of Marshalls Yard, by the pay and display machines and across the centre with guidance on the new terms on conditions.
