Marshall’s Yard prepares for more stores reopening

11 June 2020

The team at Gainsborough’s outdoor shopping centre Marshall’s Yard are preparing for more stores re-opening from next Monday. (June 15th)

A number of key essential retailers have traded at the centre throughout the lockdown including M&S Simply Food, Wilkos, Poundland and Superdrug. Cupcakes also opened with a take-away service last week and the Farmer’s Market returns to the town this weekend.

Next week will see the centre welcome back some of the stores which have had their doors closed since March 23rd and the Marshall’s Yard team are working with the store staff to ensure a safe re-opening for the centre’s staff and shoppers.

On Monday (June 15th) Seasalt, New Look, Browns Department Store, Mountain Warehouse and Coe and Coe will all re-open at Marshalls Yard.

The Works plans to reopen on Wednesday June 17th and Laura Ashley on Friday June 19th.  Stanley Hunt Jewellers will open the following week on June 25th.

A number of other stores and café’s at Marshall’s Yard are yet to announce their re-opening plans.
All new opening hours will be updated on the Marshall’s Yard website and shoppers are being asked to please check the website for individual store times before planning their trip.

Stores will all open with restrictions on the numbers of customers allowed in at any one time and shoppers are being asked to respect the 2m distance throughout the centre.

Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard Alison Shipperbottom said: “We are working closely with all our returning store teams to ensure that we have a smooth and safe return to trading next week.

“We would ask customers to plan their journeys and to check opening times before they visit and as we get more information through from other stores, we will update our website and social media.

“We are really fortunate here at Marshall’s Yard that that the centre has been designed with space in mind, so we have our lovely wide walkways and attractive landscaped areas.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our shoppers back in this first phase of stores reopening and the safety of our visitors and staff will of course be our priority.”

Car park charges at Marshall’s Yard will apply from 15th June. Parking is 50p for two hours and £1 for 4 hours.
