Marshall’s Yard back two local charities for 2019

14 January 2019

The team at Marshall’s Yard have chosen two local charities to support throughout 2019 following a Facebook competition which received hundreds of entries.

Marshall’s Yard asked Facebook followers to nominate charities that they would like to support in 2019 and the two chosen charities are HATS and Help me, I’m fine.

HATS provide support with practical advice and accommodation for young and vulnerable adults in Gainsborough and surrounding areas.

Help me, I’m fine is a local charity that raises awareness of mental health issues in children and teenagers and provides support through schools and community groups.

Centre Manager of Marshall's Yard, Alison Shipperbottom, said: “‘we are delighted to announce our support of these two fantastic local charities and we are looking forward to organising fun ways to raise money throughout 2019!

“Last year we raised just under £800 for The Scotter Ward at John Coupland Hospital and the Gainsborough Salvation Army and I hope we can achieve the same or more again this year with the support of the local community”

Marshall’s Yard will hold regular events throughout the year to help raise money and donations are always welcome into the wishing well by the fountain and Costa Coffee.
