Gainsborough gears up for monthly Farmers’ & Craft Market this December.

7 December 2020

Gainsborough is preparing for the final Farmers’ & Craft Market of 2020 which takes place on Saturday 12th December from 9am – 3pm.

Held in Gainsborough’s Market Place, this month’s market welcomes a packed line up of returning traders offering festive fresh produce, fresh meat and fish, handmade crafts and bespoke gifts perfect for treating your loved ones this Christmas.

December’s market sees the return of Special Editions Chocolate, selling their delicious range of handmade chocolates and sweet treats which make perfect Christmas gifts.

This month Rubecula Aromary will be joining the line-up, selling handmade vegan wax melts inspired by scents in the Lincolnshire countryside. The range includes gift and starter sets ideal for Christmas stocking fillers or would make a festive addition to any home.

For an indulgent bite to eat, visit Sarah’s Sweet Treats selling delicious cakes and festive treats.

Other traders joining this month include Redhill Farm Free Range Pork, The Man from Skidby/A Stab in the Wool, The Old Forge Florist, Eleanor Rogerson Enamel and Copper, The Fishcake Co and Capps Fish.

The monthly Farmers’ market is held on the second Saturday of every month and is part of a joint initiative coordinated by Marshall’s Yard with West Lindsey District Council.

Since its reopening in June, the outdoor market has been widely supported by traders and shoppers in Gainsborough.

Charlotte Toplass, Marshall’s Yard Tenant Liaison Executive, said: “We’re delighted to welcome traders and shoppers to this month’s Farmers’ and Craft Market. Christmas is the ideal time to support local businesses and stock up on unique gifts for friends and family.

“Once again Market Place is a great venue to host the market as it is in the heart of Gainsborough town centre and widely accessible. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing local shoppers at the Market this weekend!”
