Gainsborough Farmers’ & Craft Market welcomes packed line up of traders this May.

Gainsborough monthly Farmers’ & Craft Market is delighted to welcome a full line up of traders on its return this Saturday 8th May from 9am – 3pm in Market Place.

As restrictions have relaxed surrounding non-essential retail, shoppers will be able to browse the full variety of handmade crafts and gifts alongside delicious local produce, seasonal plants and horticultural items from independent traders.

The market welcomes several familiar faces this month, including Nikki from Pickles Preserves offering her tasty pickles, jams and chutneys produced using locally sourced ingredients. Also making a return is Sophisitikated Bags bringing their range of tote bags and homeware.

The market’s popular jewellery and craft traders will be joining once again including Curly Nook Jewellery and Eleanor Rogerson Enamel and Copper with their gorgeous jewellery plus Rubecula Aromary will be bringing their Lincolnshire countryside-inspired vegan soy wax melts. The Man from Skidby and A Stab in the Wool will be returning with their wood carvings and handmade felt craft items.

Gainsborough Market’s regular traders will be retuning offering their tasty local produce including Mount Pleasant Windmill, Redhill Farm Produce, Sarah’s Sweet Treats, V-Vits UK, Hepy’s Hog Roast, fishmonger Patrick Capps, Wild Rose Skincare and Giddy Kippers Plants.

As well as the return of familiar faces, new trader Deli Dog Box Company will be joining. Based on the outskirts of Gainsborough, this local business offers natural, healthy and eco-friendly dog treats paw-fect for four-legged friends with allergies or intolerances.

Business owner Lauren Riddell of Treats, Sweets & Eats will be also be making her first appearance with her mouth-watering sweet range, including personalised sweet jars and goody bags.

Saxophonist Mike Wood will be playing in the Market Square to add to the atmosphere.

Since its reopening in June 2020, the market moved from its original location on Market Street to Market Place.

The market is organised with all safety measures in place ensuring all stallholders adhere to Covid-19 guidelines, including socially distanced stalls and hand sanitiser available.

The monthly Farmers’ market is held on the second Saturday of every month and is part of a joint initiative coordinated by Marshall’s Yard with West Lindsey District Council.
