Browns cut the cake for Macmillan

18 October 2018

The team at Browns Department Store at Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough created a pop up cafe and welcomed shoppers to join them for tea and cake to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer support last week.

The Browns team each donated a cake to sell at the coffee morning and along with raffle prizes worth £500, the event was a great success and raised over £300 for the cancer charity.

The pop-up cafe boasted china tea cups and three tier cake stands, additional they even catered for gluten free shoppers.

Assistant Manager of Browns, Jodie Pacey said ‘This charity is very close to my heart and I’m so proud that our team can support Macmillan. Over 100 shoppers and friends came along and it was a real heart-warming community event.’

Following on from the success of this event Browns are looking to carry out more fundraising to help support the cancer charity later in the year.

Browns Department Store is a flagship retailer in Marshall’s Yard offering the latest in men’s and women’s fashion, fragrance and beauty.
