A monster-themed Gainsborough Farmers’ & Craft Market returns this October!

A spooky Gainsborough Farmers’ & Craft Market will return this Saturday, October 9 with a visit from some very famous monsters!

The outdoor market – held in Market Place from 9am until 3pm – will be home to some very famous monsters to mark Halloween from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

As well as the famous characters in the town centre, browse the line up of stalls selling fresh produce, bespoke gifts, crafts and sweet treats.

If you prefer a ‘treat’ over ‘trick’, visit Sarah’s Sweet Treats to stock up on her delicious cakes, plus not forgetting Special Edition Chocolate with their variety of handmade quality chocolate in a variety of flavours. The market welcomes brand new trader So Sweet Candy Corner, a local independent trader selling pick n mix sweet bags perfect for the occasion.

Curly Nook Jewellery will be returning with handmade jewellery and gifts, PB’s Wood n Art with their range of giftware made from recycled timber, and Rubecula Aromary with freshly scented vegan wax melts, candles and wax melt burners, including their pumpkin spiced range.

In addition, stock up on delicious produce available from fishmonger Patrick Capps, Hepy’s Hog Roast, Kevin’s Handmade Pies, Redhill Farm Free Range Pork, Pickles Preserves, The Family Bean, and Mount Pleasant Windmill selling artisan freshly baked bread.

There will be a face painter in the Market Place ready to create some spooky designs for Halloween!

West Lindsey District Council will also be on hand to hand out COVID 19 testing kits.

Since its reopening in June 2020, the market moved from its original location on Market Street to Market Place.

The monthly Farmers’ market is held on the second Saturday of every month and is part of a joint initiative coordinated by Marshall’s Yard with West Lindsey District Council.

Charlotte Toplass, Marshall’s Yard Tenant Liaison Executive, said: “Gainsborough Farmers’ & Craft Market welcomes families to come and visit our favourite monsters which you may recognise! Don’t forget to stock up on fresh produce and unique gifts from our independent traders.”
