Marshall's Yard 'Barket' Dog Market 16th May

 Our popular Dog Market ‘Barket’ returns for 2026 and will be offering everything for our four legged friends. 

Saturday 16th May - 10am - 3pm

 

In Partnership with Pages Pet Rescue.

This event is a Dog themed Market, which will:

 

Dog themed stalls 
Crufts style competition with prizes to be won
Live entertainment
Free crafts & entertainment
Refreshment area
Free Face-painting
Photo area
Pup cups 
Make your own pet PAW trait
Donation station for Pages Pet Rescue - Pet supplies ie Bowls, bedding, puppy mats and pet food.
 

This event will run 10am – 3pm within Marshall’s Yard

 

The Barket will host a crufts style show which dogs can be entered to win first second or third prize.

The categories include:

 

Cutest Pup (Dogs up to one year)

Lovely Lady

Handsome Chap

Golden Oldie

Best Trick

Best dressed

And finally who will be crowned the Top Dog? - Award for Dog of the Yard is up for grabs for the overall winner of the show!

 

Sign ups are on the day only. Registration opens from 10:30am, competition starts from 11:30am

10:30am – Sign up opens for dog competition

11:30am – show starts

Running order of categories...

1st Category – Cutest Pup at 11:30am

2nd Category – Lovely Lady at 12:00pm

3rd Category – Handsome Chap at 12:30pm

4th Category – Golden oldie at 13:00pm

5th Category – Best Trick at 13:30pm

6th Category – Best Dressed at 14:00pm

 

Last Category – Dog of the Yard, who will be crowed Top Dog? - Best in Show at 14.30pm – Best overall winner.

 

Event located in front of The Works Store.
