Working with communities
Ever since Marshall's Yard was first put onto the drawing board, we have worked together with the local community and encouraged local groups to be a part of the development.
Since the centre was opened in 2007, we have been a sponsor of Marshall's Sports FC, Gainsborough's football club for boys and girls up to the age of 15. All the players and coaches in the club wear rain jackets carrying the Marshall’s Yard logo and name, and the under 10 boys and under 15 girls teams sport the logo on their white, blue and red kits.
The football club was set up nine years ago and has girls and boys teams ranging from seven to 15 years old, as well a senior side with players who have played with the club from a young age, playing in leagues in Gainsborough, Scunthorpe, Lincoln and South Humberside.
Sticking with the football - we are also a major sponsor of Trinity FC, supporting the development of youth teams for the area as well as aiming to get Gainsborough on the sporting map!
We also enjoy working with local schools and community groups to provide fundraising activies and entertainment on the centre. Musical performances from Queen Elizabeth High School, dance performances from Trent Valley Academy and activity sessions with Gainsborough Adventure Playground just some examples of the kind of things we can do at the centre.

Charities also regularly visit the centre in order to raise money for their causes, The Greyhound Trust, the MS Society, Kilton Pet & Raptor Rescue and McMillan Cancer Research are just some of the charities who regularly visit the centre in order to fundriase for their company. If you would like to learn more about the possible fund raising events that can be held at the centre, please contact Medi Parry on 01427 810706 or via email at medi.parry@marshallsyard.co.uk.
