Youngsters enjoy a hopping good Easter at Marshall’s Yard

Families gathered to enjoy plenty of Easter egg-citement at Marshall’s Yard at the weekend – which also kicked off a packed schedule of spring and summer events.

Thousands of visitors gathered to get involved in the free Easter extravaganza, which included a meet and greet opportunity that saw families pet, feed and have their picture taken with a group of alpacas.

Peter Rabbit was also seen hopping around the Yard and stopped off at various points for photos, hugs and high fives.

Visitors got involved with a free Easter egg hunt that ran throughout the day, with those taking part in with a chance of winning a selection of prizes.

In addition, a number of stores including Browns department store and Caldero Lounge hosted Easter-themed crafting areas throughout the weekend with prizes to be won.

Meanwhile, youngsters took part in free face painting activities, sponsored by the centre's Pattern Store based tenants, Bomead, franchisee for Mcdonald's.

The energetic team at Snap fitness 24/7 gym also provided entertainment for the crowds by carrying out a competitive hopping challenge, which event goers were also encouraged to get involved in.

Jodie Pacey, Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, said: “It was brilliant to see so many happy, smiling faces at our Easter events, everyone seemed to be having a great time.
