Say Hello to Maisie the Marshall’s Yard Daisy

5 May 2017

Marshall’s Yard has welcomed a new team member – the centre’s very own mascot who was unveiled at the centre’s 10th birthday celebrations last month.

The Mascot is based on the Yard’s logo and a competition was held to find a name suitable for the funky green and pink flower.
Maisie the Marshall’s Yard Daisy was suggested by 5 year old Ava-lily Crowston and was chosen from over eighty suggestions.

Maisie will be making an appearance at all the events throughout the year and will also help run a craft corner at the monthly Farmers’ and Craft Market for all children to get involved in.

Centre Manager, Alison Hall, said “We are thrilled to finally have our own mascot here at Marshall’s Yard and there’s no denying that Maisie certainly stands out.

“We had lots of fabulous suggestions but the judges decided that Maisie was definitely the right name for our Mascot.

“We’re hoping that the added craft corner will add something different to the monthly Farmers’ and Craft Market and be enjoyable for all children who get involved.”

Maisie will be making regular appearances at Marshall’s Yard events, to keep up with events and offers at Marshall’s Yard visit www.marshallsyard.co.uk
