Minion Madness in Marshall’s Yard

11 August 2015

Families from Gainsborough were in for a real treat on Saturday 8th August at Marshall’s Yard Farmers’ Market.

The arrival of the Minion created excitement and a buzz around the whole of the Yard - children were given the chance to have their photograph taken with their favourite friendly yellow character.

The Farmers’ Market was on throughout the day, with a range of high quality producers - including Redhill Pork and Turners Baker. Bespoke Brownies was one of the latest producers to join Marshalls Yard’s award winning Farmers’ Market bringing a real treat for shoppers.

There was plenty to do for youngsters once they had met the Minion, there was a bouncy castle, candy floss machine and an ice cream van.

There was also performances from the Retford based band ‘The Idle River Boys’, who performed classic songs around the fountain area.

Raptor Rescue brought a number of birds of prey which shoppers could hold and have photos taken. There was a pop up TalkTalk unit - offering shoppers the latest information and news about broadband deals.

Marshall’s Yard assistant manager, Annabel Plumtree said: "It was a great weekend for families to come along and shop, with plenty to do and see.

"We were really lucky with the weather and it was nice to see shoppers relaxing on the fountain area, enjoying all that was on offer this lovely summers day."

The next Market within Marshall’s Yard will be the Country Living Market on the 29th August, where there will be plenty of things to do for families.
