Cracking Easter Celebrations at Marshall's Yard

6 April 2015

The weekends eggcitement was at a peak this Saturday at Marshall's Yard in Gainsborough when local talent was showcased and prizes were won.

Despite Easter being slightly earlier this year and therefore the weather not as warm, families still came out in their droves to enjoy the fun and entertainment organised at the shopping centre this Easter Saturday.

The Easter Bunny greeted the large numbers of children who took part in the free Gainsborough Lions Easter Egg Hunt and Egg Design Competition ran by Marshall's Yard's tenant, All Sorts Children's Entertainment.

The store managers from Browns Department Stores didn't find judging easy, but the Easter Egg Design winner was Sally-Ann Gray (7 years old). With Barry Clark coming second place and Caitlin Rose coming third. Runner up prizes were also handed out.

Isabelle Johnson (2 years old) from Gainsborough won the Easter Egg Hunt Competition.

Centre Manager at Marshall's Yard, Alison Hall, said: "It was fantastic to see so many people here this Easter weekend enjoying our Easter themed event.

"It is always wonderful to see the local talent in Gainsborough have chance to perform. We had four local dance groups perform throughout the day and despite the cold weather they rose to the occasion and entertained the crowds.

"We are looking forward to our next big event which will be the popular Marshall's Tractor's event on Father's Day."
