Champagne carriage rides at Marshall’s Yard!
Marshall’s Yard will be getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit this weekend, with the traditional horse and carriage returning to the centre to offer romantic rides around the town accompanied by champagne and chocolates!
Happy couples can enjoy a leisurely tour of Gainsborough’s popular tourist spots and along the riverside, while enjoying a glass of fine bubbly and indulging in a selection of Belgian confectionary.
Retailers on Marshall’s Yard will also be getting ready for the most important day in the romance calendar with themed window displays and a host of special offers and promotions. M&S Simply Food is offering discounts on rose wine and champagne and Birthdays will be giving one lucky customer the chance to win a romantic break for two people in a four star hotel. And Florist Jo Bidlde is advising customers to get their orders in this weekend, to beat the traditional last minute rush in the days leading up to Valentines Day.
Janet Linfoot, Marshall’s Yard Centre Manager, said: “What better way to treat your loved one than with a romantic horse drawn carriage ride while sipping champagne? Who knows – we may even find ourselves with some marriage some proposals! Valentines Day gets busier every year, so why not avoid the crowds on February 14th and enjoy a carriage ride this weekend instead?”
Horse and carriage rides will be available from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, costing £10 for a short tour or £15 for a longer tour. The next time the horse and carriage will be on site after Valentine’s Day will be Sunday 2 March, for Mother's Day.
