Healthy Taste Bud Testers at This Month’s Gainsborough Farmer’s Market
The first Farmer’s Market of 2012 welcomes chef Nathan Furniss who will be cooking up some healthy dishes and offering lots of tips and ideas on eating healthy and treating those taste buds all in one go! Dishes will vary from sweet to savoury and hot to cold giving people the chance to taste the dishes. Dishes will be prepared using the fresh, homemade produce available from the producers at the market so you won’t have far to go to get what you need!
We’ll also have the usual mouth watering array of homemade cheeses, locally reared beef, lamb and pork, fresh fish, homemade made bread of all flavours and let’s not forget the ever popular handmade chocolates, cakes and a wide selection of gorgeous fudge!
Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, Jackie Helliwell said: “As well as offering the usual popular home grown and homemade produce, this month’s farmer’s market will demonstrate how healthy eating doesn’t have to be dull – there are some great ideas for tasty dishes that tick all the right boxes for anybody trying to stick to that new year health and fitness plan!”
“We are looking forward to what’s in store at Gainsborough Farmer’s Market for 2012 and hope to kick start a good year with this month’s market.”
The Gainsborough Farmers’ Market was awarded FARMA certification in recognition for its high standards in September 2010. It takes place on the second Saturday between 9am and 3pm.
