Halloween Fun a Great Success at the Yard

Halloween Fun a Great Success at the Yard

There were some spooktacular costumes and ghoulish goings on at Marshall's Yard last week as hundreds of youngsters took part in the annual Halloween fright night event.

The Halloween spooktacular was a great success with John Marshall from Lincs FM hosting the event and lots of great prizes on offer for those lucky enough to win one of the competitions.

A fancy dress parade and free horse and carriage rides were on offer and spooky snacks were available from Hucksters. Owls and birds of prey added to the fright night atmosphere.

Five year old Tyler Hopkins who was visiting from Wales took the first prize in the six and under category - winning a brand new bike from Halfords.

And in the seven and over fancy dress category the first prize went to Morgan Metcalf who's grisy costume really impressed the judges. In both categories second and third prize winners were awarded prizes including games from Gamestation and gifts from Wilkinsons.

The Davies Family from Gainsborough won the Addams Family Award for their fantastic costumes and the best pumpkin came from the Walford family, also from Gainsborough.

John Davison, assistant centre manager said: "We had some fantastic costumes, people really made the effort and we were delighted with how many turned up to take part in the competition. We'd like to say a big thank you to all the retailers who supported the event and helped with prizes."

Pictures shows the Davies family from Gainsborough - winner of the Addams Family Award, Tyler Hopkins as a witch who won the six and unders first prize and Morgan Metcalfe who won the seven and overs first prize.
