Farmer's Market at Marshall's Yard

Farmer's Market at Marshall's Yard

The new Gainsborough Farmers’ Market at Marshall’s Yard is set to become one of the biggest in Lincolnshire with more than 20 stalls selling everything from honey to locally grown beef, cheese and even Ostrich.

The Market will open on September 13th at The Yard. It will then be held on every second Saturday of the month, and organisers are confident the new look Farmer’s Market will be a real success in the town.

More than 20 producers are lined-up to attend and the market has a fresh new logo and a new look to go with its brand new location at Marshall’s Yard.

Lincolnshire Farmers Market Co-ordinator, Jane Tomlinson, from Redhill Farm, said the new Gainsborough market will be one of the biggest in the county.

he added: “We have had a great deal of interest from producers and we will have a fantastic array of produce from Lincolnshire and the surrounding area, all produced by the people you’ll be served by on the stalls.

“Farmer’s Markets are a great way of letting people know what is available right here on their own doorstep. This is a fantastic new start for us and Marshall’s Yard is a really great venue.”

Free range pork, bacon, hams and pork pies will be sold as well as local cheeses, soft fruits, gourmet fish cakes, organic vegetables, plants, jams and chutneys. And shoppers will also be able to try before they buy on some of the more unusual foods on offer – including Ostrich.

John Davison, Assistant Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard said: “We are really pleased to be welcoming the Farmers Market to Marshall’s Yard with such a wonderful selection of local goods. We are delighted to be supporting local producers and are confident the market will be a great success.”

The first Farmers Market at Marshall’s Yard will be held on Saturday September 13th and then on the second Saturday of every month, trading from 9am until 3pm.
