Egg-cellent designs win praise in art competition!

Dozens of youngsters turned up to the judging of the Marshall's Yard Design an Easter Egg Competition over the Bank Holiday to find out whose pictures were the winning designs.

Gainsborough artist Marcus Hammond and the town's mayor Cllr Tim Davies were on hand to judge the competition as well as store managers from Claires and Brantano.

The pictures have been displayed at Marshall's Yard throughout the Bank Holiday weekend for shoppers and parents to see.

All the  judges were impressed with the quality of the entries - and the winners were named as: Daniel Mills, from Hillcrest School, Scarlett Lazenby, from Morton Trentside and Kacper Dworski from Willoughton Primary School. The Year Three and Four winners were Dylan Hodgson from Parish Church School and Amy Randall from Blyton cum Laughton.

Janet Linfoot Marshall's Yard Centre Manager, said: "We had a fantastic response to our competition and some really great designs from the children. We'll be getting in touch with those winners who weren't able to attend the judging."
