Marshall's Yard supermum competition hots up!

The competition is really hotting up this week to find Gainsborough’s top SUPERMUM.

Mums the word at Marshalls Yard as shoppers young and old are being asked to enter their mums into a competition to win a celebrity makeover.

Theres still time to enter the top competition but the deadline is on Mothers Day this Sunday. So you need to get down to the shopping centre this week to ensure your Mum is in the running for a day she’ll never forget.

The winning Super Mum will be treated like a Super Model for the day with a full days  shopping, pampering and preening  lined up courtesy of the top TV make up artist and stylist Armand Beasley.

Armand works with celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Jane Seymour and Zoe Lucker but he’ll be sprinkling his stardust on the winner of the Marshall’s Yard Mother’s Day Competition for a day she’ll never forget.

Armand - a regular contributor to TV's Fakeover, Magic Numbers and Channel four's How to Look good Naked - is passionate about beauty and the fact that anybody can look and feel great

He said: "I'm really excited to be involved with the competition at Marshall's Yard and I can't wait to meet the winner. Beauty on the outside begins on the inside and you don't have to have a celebrity life style or a celebrity budget to look good."

The day will begin over drinks at Costa Coffee where Armand will meet the winning Mum to talk over her transformation.

She’ll then be taken on a fantastic shopping trip around Marshall’s Yard and with Armand’s expert advice will choose clothes and accessories for her makeover. With Laura Ashley, Next, New Look and Brantano all taking part the lucky winning mum will walk away with some fantastic new outfits. The top stylist at Stringers Hair Salon will also be on hand and Armand will complete the look with a make-up masterclass and makeover.

Once the transformation is complete the winner will be presented with a bouquet from the Marshall’s Yard florist.

But time is running out fast so to make sure your Mum has a chance of being treated like a celebrity for the day look out for the entry forms in your local press or simply pop your name and address on a post card along with your Mum’s name and post it in the post box on Britannia House at Marshall’s Yard (next to Timpsons). On Monday March 3^rd ten finalists will be drawn and they will be asked to send in a photograph of their Mum. 

The overall winner will be announced on Monday March 10^th and the makeover will take place on Thursday March 20^th.
